Since the beginning of 2020, the world is facing unprecedented challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). As a result, the crisis is forcing educational systems around the world to quickly reorganize their strategies, and to offer distance learning alternatives that allow children to continue learning with quality and without risking their lives, because, as Bruns (2020) states, 91% of students throughout the world are not attending school.
To face these challenges, the LRCP has implemented many initiatives related to the development of research, the production of evidence to help in the design of educational interventions, and the selection of pedagogical resources to guide distance work.
We hope that these initiatives will be useful to you and do not hesitate to send us your doubts, suggestions and comments through this virtual platform.
We make a call to follow the protective measures indicated by the evidence to protect life, but never forget that the reading and writing skills of our children can be developed at home, through everyday activities as our message says:
