Josefina Vijil

Josefina Vijil, a leading regional education specialist and researcher, serves as the LRCP Early Grade Literacy Specialist. Dr. Vijil is a social scientist with a Doctorate in Education Sciences from the Universidad Católica de Lovaina, Belgium. Dr. Vijil has extensive experience in: early grade reading instruction and assessment; pre-service and in-serve professional development of teachers in basic, high school, and university education; pedagogic support to teachers in the classroom; the development of educational materials; and instruction in multi-grade settings.
